Project Descriptions

Current Projects!

I am currently constructing a low-speed (and low-cost) wind tunnel and hope you will join me for the process. I will be using few resources but my undergraduate engineering degree and previous research experience. I would like through this excursion of basement science to be able to put small wings or other objects in the wind tunnel and know their lift and drag. The reason for this is there are great mysteries still unanswered in fluid mechanics and I believe great potential for use. By studying how fluids (air) behave and with some creative thinking we may potentially make new useful developments.

Great precision in these measurements is not critical, just enough to get a general idea of performance. This wind tunnel must cost less than about $300 (my spare change) and operate in my basement. Blog posts will update decisions, construction, and then testing.
